Composition of The Resin
MCIR-212-VE is a Vinyl Ester Resin based on Bisphenol A Epoxy Resin & Methacrylic Monomer, with medium reactivity & low viscosity, dissolved in and cross linked with Styrene with added special promotor. Catalyst, cobalt & promotor proposed by supplier will have to be used.
Applications
Wide range of applications viz:
- For Molding items subject to high static or dynamic loads like Tanks, pipes, ducts etc
- Hand layups, spray up, and Filament winding
- Coating Compounds, filled lining, & Flake Glass etc
Properties
- Good mechanical properties and high impact / stress crack resistance.
- Provides excellent chemicals resistance up to 105˚C to a wide range of aggressive enviroments.
- Resin manufactured from RMs listed in FDA regulation title 21 CFR 177.2420, Hence articles made from this resin are OK for Food contact.
- The end product proformance/properties are either better and not less then the same type resin
products from international market leaders, like NCS,or Ashland Chemicals USA.
